I love seeing new technologies. We should embrace new technologies and use them for showing God’s love. When and if Google Wave catches on, I am seeing it used for real-time prayer requests, online collaboration, and so much more. God would use anything from a donkey to a jet to preach His gospel. God is high tech!
God is High Tech
November 30, 2009God Chased After Me
November 25, 2009I will never forget one of the occasions that God reached out to me. I was at an Ozzy Osbourne concert and, to be honest with you, I was as high as a kite. After the concert, my “friends” and I started to head back to the car, when we noticed people handing out tracts. Being someone who grew up in church, I knew what they were doing. I noticed an individual that started to walk towards me; he was a good ways off from me. When he got to me, he smiled and handed me a tract. I looked at him and said, “thank you.” Those that I was with started mocking what they were doing. I remember looking down at the tract. I cannot remember what the tract was about, but I remember what I was thinking. I was thinking about the time that God healed me of bad migraines when I was a young boy. I was thinking about God and what He did for me.
I did not completely turn myself over to the Lord that day; however, it was a step in the right direction. Someone chased me down and tried to give me what he had– a loving Father.
One of the major things that I hear when unbelievers talk about Christians is that Christians come off with having a “holier than thou” attitude. I can see where they get this point of view from.
The reason I told this story about me being at an Ozzy concert was to make a foundation of what God wants and expects from us. He did not give us authority over sin so we can hide in a church building or only be around certain “high thinking” folks. Yes, we must keep our inner-circle of friends (people we trust), but this does not mean we should treat others any less. Jesus hung around with fishermen, a tax collector, and a former whore rather than the church leaders of His time. When we are only concerned about who we hang around with or if others will “bring me down,” aren’t we being self-centered and not considering others? Was Christ concerned about looking sanctified? No– because He knew He was already sanctified! See, I know for a fact that God chases His people down; that is what He did for me. That is what He did to Adam. Do we fear sin so much that we will not reach out to one of these?
Psalms 23:4-6 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
Thanksgiving…
November 24, 2009Just sitting here thinking about my family and how blessed I am. After knowing such a loving God, I would never blame Him for my troubles. He is the reason why I conquered so many of my fears; He wants us to conquer our bad circumstances through Him. One of the greatest lessons He ever taught me is that Love gives everything. Man’s way (before Christ renewed our minds) taught us to save the best for ourselves and that a teacher never lets his students know all His “tricks.” God wants to freely give His people all of His kingdom.
God is the only being I look up to. I am not prideful when I say this. There are many I gain wisdom from; however, He is the one I go back to time and time again. I do not even go back to Paul or Peter. I go back to Him. He is my foundation and though we might go through trials and tribulation, Jesus overcame the world. I will not be moved. He is my rock! My God, in Him I will trust! I know that a lot of people are going through a rough time right now. If I can give them one reason to hold on to their faith, it would be this: You will never meet one person in this world that loves you more than God does. The creator of Love is the essence of love. Hold onto Him because He wants your best*. Hold on to Him and trust Him because He is the one that wants you to succeed. He is the one that wants you to prosper. He is the one that wants you to start your ministry or business. He is the one that wants to hold onto you with everything He has. I trust very few people with my heart, but I trust Him with my whole being. He is my Father. No matter what you are facing, be thankful. He loves you deeply and He wants you to come out on top…every time!
*I am not saying that he wants to teach you a lesson through your pain. He teaches us through His Holy Spirit and His Son (the word of God).
God and Glocks
November 17, 2009I was shooting Glocks way before they were cool. Throughout the years I have tried almost every type of handgun that there is; I still have not found a more reliable firearm than a Glock. Why am I talking about Glocks here? Well the new Glock 19 RTF2 is hitting the market and I must say… I am stoked!:)
(Luke 22:36-37)Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH THE TRANSGRESSORS.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”

November 7, 2009Marine
November 1, 2009The night before the burial of her husband’s body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of ‘Cat,’ and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. ‘I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,’ she said. ‘I think that’s what he would have wanted.’
(John 15:13) Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
My Friend
October 29, 2009Who is God to me? He is real and tangible, He is right here with me. For the most part, He is Love; the true and purest form of love is really not known until we meet Him(God). He is not a bully and He does not want to take over our lives like some say. The greatest mistake we can make is when we think He is something He is not. Seek Him and you will find Him. My God is the closest friend I have; in fact, I call Him friend. I know Him, so please speak about Him through knowing Him. There are so many lies about Him; please do not hurt Him. If His words do not lineup with your beliefs, please change your interpretation according to His word. He is my friend.
(Mat 6:25-26) “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

October 25, 2009Who is like God?

Psalms 103:20, Daniel 12:1
The archangel Michael is known in the word of God and throughout christian circles to be one of the strongest in God’s army of angels. God spoke to me one day about this mighty angel, “I designed Michael to seek out individuals who act like me and sound like me.” It is clear in the word of God that actions and words play a vital role in the spiritual realm. Do you want the toughest archangel on the block in your corner?Act like God…..act like Jesus! Believe and speak God’s word! Some say it is by grace alone, I believe grace is the foundation (just like the word says). Grace gave us the opportunity to know God; are we going to get to know Him? If we do not look like God, we are not spending enough time with Him. Be blessed…seek God on a daily basis and have God’s angels in your corner.
